Twitter Rolling out New Brand Specific Pages After Feb 1

 

According to Business InsiderTwitter is planning to roll out new Brand-Specific Pages (Enhanced Profile Pages) after Feb. 1. This opportunity will give brands the ability to perform better by being able to build platforms on their pages that could include iFrame environments, allowing users to play games or shop on a brand’s site without actually leaving the Twitter environment.

For now, Twitter has declined to comment but these more appealing and engaging profile pages are a part of Twitter’s Q2 product rollout plan, according to a person who received a briefing on the topic from a senior Twitter executive. Currently, the dynamics of Twitter’s possible attempt at E-Commerce is unknown but if Twitter really has something like this cooking up in the pipeline then sooner, rather than later, is the time to un-ravel it.

 

Facebook Rolling out Timeline for Brands on Feb 29

 

According to Business Insider, Facebook is preparing to launch Timeline for Brand Pages on 29 February, 2012. With Facebook rolling out Timeline globally, the next logical step seems to allow brand pages access to the same features. A source told Business Insider that, “Timeline is coming to Brand Pages,” and added that many marketers remain ignorant of how it’s going to work and how it may affect them. “Most people don’t even know.
