February is the month of Valentines Day, and we see marketing schemes popping up like mushrooms around this time of year. Social media is no different either, we see brands posting valentine greeting and offers throughout Facebook in Pakistan, to attract and increase customers on this behalf.
 
Rose Petal is a well know tissue paper brand in Pakistan. It was established in 1982 by Packages Ltd, and has has a successful ever since. Timely and efficiently targeted marketing campaigns had been a top priority for Rose Petal, one of the key reasons why Rose Petal never lost its equity.

The brand has used the Facebook portal to communicate its image as a friendly companion, as the brands ATL schemes had been projecting through various mediums, associating tissues with emotions and giving it a universal appeal to children and adults alike.
 
Holding on to their marketing tactics  the brand is offering various giveaways this valentines to their loving consumers. ‘Catch the hearts’ is a Facebook App which has gathered a big response on the brands Facebook Page. A simple game where you have to collect hearts for winning. The activity started earlier this month and the winners are announced after every two days, with exclusive prizes. The brand also selects random people of their page and offer them prizes so no body feels left out. Rose petal strongly advertises itself as a companion through happiness and sadness, love and loss, so you may find plenty of polls with fun out come on the page, relating to subjects like love songs, books and celebrity couples.
 
In a nutshell, Rose petal is getting the response it expected this valentines day, and social media has allowed the brand to reach out to their consumers on a personal level. Wouldn’t you agree?
